DAISY AWARD DUE DATES - Several opportunities for your nurses and teams!

There are several opportunities currently open for your nurses, a few with upcoming due dates. Please forward to anyone in your organization who may be able to take advantage of or be considered for these offerings.

• NEW! The Karlene Kerfoot Nursing Leadership in Technology Education Grant recognizes nursing leaders for their pioneering contributions to advancing technology in nursing, with a focus on innovation and leadership to improve patient care. Two education reimbursements of up to US$5,000 will be awarded. Apply by September 2nd. Learn more or apply here.
   
• Registered Nurses at DAISY partner facilities who have demonstrated work that advances compassionate care through policy are eligible to be nominated for the HealthImpact DAISY Nurse Leader Award for Policy. Policies that affect local, regional, national, or global populations through legislation, checklists, guidelines, regulations, or standards of practice will be considered. • In collaboration with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, nurses and nurse-led teams at DAISY partner organizations are eligible to be nominated for The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses in Patient Safety. This award raises awareness of the significant contributions by nurses to patient and workforce safety. Nominations are due by September 28th. More information can be found here.
   
• NEW! The DAISY Sigma Nurse Leader Award for Nurse Scientists. This award will recognize a nurse who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, a commitment to compassionate care, and meaningful research contributions. Nominations are open until December 11th. Learn more or nominate here.
